Unibuddy partners with Study in the USA
Unibuddy and Study in the USA will launch an online platform that will highlight international students who are studying overseas.
With 15 colleges already on board, it is believed that the Unibuddy and Study in the USA platform will give international students the confidence they need to study abroad, and also give the necessary reassurance and confidence to prospective students.
Unibuddy is the brainchild of Diego Fanara, an international student from Switzerland who struggled to find the right university for himself.
According to Study in the USA, they have supported international students coming to the country for the past 40 years and have seen over 7.9 million visits per year.
Unibuddy wants to enhance student choice and journey for the USA
Unibuddy, which has over 300 global higher education partners, has developed the platform to support international students decide where to study, and help colleges across the US boost their yield and generate students interest.
Commenting on the collaboration, Diego Fanara, CEO of Unibuddy, said: “We’ve joined forces for a stronger, more resilient higher education community.
“Unibuddy on Study USA will help universities optimize their digital channels, reach students, and provide them with the information they need throughout their journey.”
Study in the USA has supported international students for 40 years
Speaking to Global Education Times, Renait Stephens, CEO of Study in the USA, said: “Our new platform allows prospective students from around the world to chat directly with a current international student who is on campus in the USA. That allows them to hear first-hand what the experience is really like, and get the confidence they need to study overseas.
“With all the challenges in the world right now, international students rightly have lots of concerns and questions. Current students are well placed to address many of those – so we hope our new platform in partnership with Unibuddy can bring students together to support one another.”
Earlier this year, Unibuddy signed a partnership with Uni Direct to enhance student experience by focusing on embedding peer-to-peer conversations in a student’s journey.
