CLOC to hold first online Global Institute event
CLOC has announced it will hold a Global Institute online event to discuss educational content for legal operations and the business of law.
As part of the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium’s (CLOC) efforts to closing the learning gap created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisation believes that the CLOC Global Institute will provide the professional community a path to connect, learn and collaborate.
The Corporate Legal Operations Consortium is a non-profit professional association that helps legal operations professionals collaborate and improve the delivery of legal services.
CLOC Global Institute will be held online on 10 November
CLOC states that this Global Institute will seek to be no different from past in-person events, and will continue to present a breadth of engaging and focused content.
The event will give participants a platform to build lasting connections with peers, and share technologies and services offerings through exhibitions and sponsorships.
Commenting on the development, Mary O’Carroll, President and Director of Legal Operations at Google, said: “For years, we’ve received requests to hold more CLOC Institutes around the world. Moving to a fully online format gives us the opportunity to reach a truly global audience for the first time.
“We’re excited to introduce more people to what makes CLOC events unique, the high-quality content, and ability to connect with like-minded individuals focused on the business of law from around the world.”
The new online offering is hoping to be a global gathering with sessions and networking convenient for all time zones.
CLOC has confirmed that the online event will start on 10th November from 7 am to 7 pm and that PDT and registrations have already commenced at the cost of $249 USD per attendee.
A forum for legal professionals worldwide ‘to collaborate’
Confirming the programme, Anna Golovsky, Executive Manager Legal Operations and Agility at IAG, said: “The CLOC Global Institute taking place in November is the only forum available for global in-house legal and operations professionals to collaborate and share the practical examples of what their teams are doing.
“This year’s virtual event will provide attendees direct access to other legal business professionals about the use of technology, alternative legal service delivery, process improvement, and how teams are becoming agile in their capabilities to make data-driven decisions for operations and sourcing in today’s evolving climate.”
